Interview with Brooklyn Brewery’s Brewmaster, Garrett Oliver

Last week I had the opportunity to interview Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery.  For those of you who don’t know or haven’t had the pleasure to hear him talk, he is very charismatic with a wealth of beer and culinary knowledge.   In this interview we discuss collaborations, future plans, and sample three beers, bottle re-femented Brooklyner Weisse, Wild 1, and Black Ops.

Beer Bloggers Brew-off, The Brew!

On Sunday the 12th, 9 beer bloggers virtually came together to brew a beer.  But this wasn’t any ordinary beer, each beer by the completion of the brew-off will have a secret ingredient used.  The concept is simple, we all brew the same recipe, adhere to the same delivery date, and can do one unique thing to our beer – the Secret Ingredient!brewoff1_4

Sam Calagione Talks About Life & Limb and Future Collaborations

lifelimbIt’s not every day you get to attend the release dinner for an amazing collaborative beer.  When I heard about the Life & Limb collaboration beer  between Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada and their east coast release dinner was going to be 20 minutes away, I had to get there.  But what could make an evening of amazing beer, great food, and new friends better?  A one on one interview with the man who has turned extreme beer into a household name, Sam Calagione.

Interview with Greg Zaccardi of High Point Brewing Co.

Whats the best Oktoberfest beer on the market, hard to say, everyone has different tastes in beer.  If you ask me or the reviewers on Beer Advocate, The Ramstein Oktoberfest beer is one of the best.  Greg Zaccardi has been being brewing Ramstein Beer out of his High Point Brewing facility since the early 90’s after apprenticing at the Edelweiss Brewery in Germany.  He came back to the United States and opened the first exclusive wheat brewery in Butler NJ.
