So I seem to have an aversion to canned beers. There has always been something in the flavor of the beer that bothered. people would tell me, not possible or there is a special liner. If that is true, by the time we get through the next couple of podcasts I’ll be seeing silver!
That’s right, 33, 34, and 35. With a couple of beer trades, good friends, and local beer we have a massive amount of canned beer for our next several podcasts! I have received beer from Colorado, Texas, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Montana, and many other places. So, are you ready for this monster list of beer???
It’s not very often in a beer blogger’s world that you come across a group of beers like this to sample. For this podcast I was lucky enough to get several of Allagash’s Coolship beers and Russian River Beatification. All of these beers have one thing in common, they all are products of nature, spontaneous fermentation. What does that mean? Well, most beers are fermented with cultured yeast strains, these beers where exposed to their environment and left to the divine power of what ever little bugs were around.
Shhh… I change the name. These podcasts are really no longer about several beers fighting it out to see which is best. That concept has just become way to subjective for me. Frankly, I love giving my opinion, but want folks to try the beers them selves and form their own opinions. So from here on out no more Beer Brawls, just Simply Beer Podcast and with the line up of beer we have for this podcast cast, it wouldn’t be fair to have these beers brawling. 6 totally unique, über rare, and individual beers.
Since we are still waiting for our Sink the Bismark to round out our High Octane beer brawl, I decided that we would should each raid our cellars and bring out some unique beers. So after much internal debate, three of us met up at the Liquor Outlet in indulge in some epic beers.
It’s been a couple weeks since Beer Brawl 30, Session beers. We were going to do a High Octane Brawl, which we still will once I get my bottle of “Sink the Bismark”. So instead, we are raiding our beer cellars for Beer Brawl 31.
