Homebrewing Recipe: English Mild Ale

I don’t know why this style of beer is not made more often in the states.  This beer is a light bodied with a low bitterness, but dark in color and full of malty flavor.  The best part of this malty beer, very low ABV 4.3%.  That’s right a real flavorful session beer.

Simply Beer IPA (all grain) Brewing Session

After brewing the Dogfish Head 60 Minute extract clone with a friend for him, selfishly, I really wanted my own batch.  So the other day I brewed what I hope to be a kind of hybrid English/American IPA.  I’m hoping for the spiced malty back bone with a very floral American IPA aroma.brewday_20090806_1
