The Simply Beer Tastings have become a huge success. We tasted through a dozen+ Holiday beers and had a blast discussing the beer in a fun and very educational forum in our December tasting.
A couple weeks ago I ran into Chef Mike Carrino, owner of Restaurant Passionné, at an Oktoberfest party in Montclair NJ where he was serving up some amazing brats with red cabbage. As we were talking, he told me that if I like these brats I had to come to his private Beer dinner with Ramstein Beer. Well, he had me sold at “beer”, surprised? How could I pass up an invitation to a private dinner with Chef Mike, Greg Zaccardi, Owner of Ramstein, and Brian Baxter, Brewmaster of Ramstein.
Whats the best Oktoberfest beer on the market, hard to say, everyone has different tastes in beer. If you ask me or the reviewers on Beer Advocate, The Ramstein Oktoberfest beer is one of the best. Greg Zaccardi has been being brewing Ramstein Beer out of his High Point Brewing facility since the early 90’s after apprenticing at the Edelweiss Brewery in Germany. He came back to the United States and opened the first exclusive wheat brewery in Butler NJ.
