Russian River Consecration Batch 003

Sours are my newest beer love.  I can’t drink enough of them and I really haven’t found any don’t like, but I sure have found some that I love.  My next sour is Russian River’s Consecration Batch 003, that I acquired in a recent beer trade.  While still a very small brewery in Santa Rosa California, they have developed in a premeir leader in Sour and Barrel aged beers in the United States.  So it is only fitting that I try some!russianriver_consecration4

Nøgne-Ø Mikkeller Tyttebaer

I don’t know Mikkeller does it, but every beer that I’ve had from this “nomadic” brewer has been world class.  When I saw this on the Shelf at the Liquor Outlet in Boonton NJ, I had to get it – it was a cranberry lambic and from Mikkeller.  I didn’t see how I could go wrong.Tyttebaer1

Beer Review: Eerwaarde Pater

This beer was an impulse buy, I didn’t go out in search of it.  Seeing this tiny pudgy bottle of Eerwaarde Pater mixed in with corked 750 ml big boys made it standout.  After reading the label I was intrigued and wanted to try this brew.  This is a 9% abv Belgian Dark ale matured in oak, has potential?eerwaarde_pater1
