3 Months 10 Beers – Patersbier – If He Had the PERFECT Beer Why Didn’t He Share???

My wife and I are on a quest to find her 10 beers over the next 3 months that she can enjoy! But we are now down to about 10 days left in this journey.  We have found very few beers that she has enjoyed. I’m still striking out. Had a couple that were almost there, but didn’t quite cut it. But why do I need to limit this to commercial beers, I think my homebrew is as good as many commercial beer.  So, when Dani stole (yes, literally ran away with my glass) my paterbier, I knew we had found beer #8! 3 months 10 beers – Update

3 months 10 beers Update, Rochefort 6, Rochefort 8, Ommegang Zwaar, Ommegang Porter, New Glarus Belgian Red, Dogfish Head ChicoryI have 20 days left to find Dani 3 more Beers and I know some of you are waiting for another update.  Over the last week or two I’ve really been striking out.   We’ve had a few more with no luck, some she didn’t like and others were just ho-hum.  To be be honest and fair ho-hum isn’t going to cut it.  This is a attempt to prove there are beers out there that even people who hate beer will like and for Dani to enjoy something I enjoy.

My wife and I are on a quest to find her 10 beers over the next 3 months that she can enjoy! We have found very few beers that she has enjoyed. Over the last couple of weeks, we haven’t posted any reviews, mostly because I’ve struck out a number of times. Not because they were bad beers, in fact I really enjoyed all of them, but they didn’t appeal to Dani. 3 Months 10 Beers – A Grand Slam ~ 4 Beers, 1 Night ALL WINNERS

My wife and I are on a quest to find her 10 beers over the next 3 months that she can enjoy! We have found very few beers that she has enjoyed. But on this one fun filled night, I hit a grand slam or at least figured out how to introduce new beer to my wife. Granted there will still be beer she doesn’t like, but with some good food and in this case good family I have a leg up. With my beer adventurous in-laws, good food, and some great beer, I think I might have figured it out. (more…)

3 Months 10 Beers #7 -> New Holland Envious (2010)

My wife and I are on a quest to find her 10 beers over the next 3 months that she can enjoy! We have found very few beers that she has enjoyed. This next beer, New Holland Envious, I choose simply because I thought it sounded interesting, a beer with pear juice, raspberries, and aged on oak.  in my book that sounds totally cool. Which will be the downfall of me in this challenge, as I pick out beer that sound cool to me and maybe not so for Dani. (more…)

3 Months 10 Beers #6 -> The Bruery Coton

My wife and I are on a quest to find her 10 beers over the next 3 months that she can enjoy! We have found very few beers that she has enjoyed.  I decided to go big on this next beer and hit another extreme beer.  The Bruery’s Coton is their 2nd anniversary ale, it is a 14.5% abv beer.  25% of this beer was aged in bourbon barrels.
