Two Blind Monks

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Most of you have probably never heard of Boaks Beer even if you live in New Jersey where it is brewed.  Boaks is about a small as a brewery can get.  The owner, brewmaster, book keepers, sales rep and distributer is Brain Boak.  Ahhh… but, the wonderful thing about the craft beer industry, big does not mean better. Tonight the Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale gets pushed back to the front of the line.  The Corsendonk is a Belgian style Dubbel, which tend to be malty, moderate to highly carbonated, low hop profile and may have a caramel sweetness.
