I just returned from a fantastic cruise on one of Disney’s newest boats, the Magic; it was a magical vacation in every respect EXCEPT the beer.  On a vacation where the liquor was flowing, great wine and spirits, Disney fell on its Mickey ears with the selection of beer on this boat.  Let me give you a run down of the selections on the boat. Happy 4th of July homebrewers and beer connoisseurs!  Last night was our local fireworks display and my neighbors pre fireworks party.  I always try to bring homebrew to share and as fate would have it I only had a 2.5g corney carbed and ready to drink.  The beer gods must have been smiling on me, because this little corney fit perfectly in the tiny wheeled cooler I had.  With a compact co2 injector and a picnic tap, it was on!  I rolled it to the pre-game and then walked on to the park, beer in tow!  Life was good…

So you got pests on your hops, what to do now?  Before  using pesticides and sprays, might I suggest on of natures predators, the Ladybug.  Yes that cute little flying beetle that every kids gets excited to see.  The ladybug food source is mainly aphids and mites, the most common insect enemies of the Hop plant.  What better way to naturally get rid of an insect problem?
