Beer Review: Stoudts Double IPA

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

I can’t remember where I found this Stoudts Double IPA, surprisingly it is not a widely available beer in North New Jersey even though it is a Pennsylvania beer.  I’ve heard lots of good things about the brewery, especially the tour, but have never had a beer from Stoudts.  I’m looking forward to my first Stoudts!stoudts_dipa

Beer Review: Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

When a friend, especially a self proclaimed beer geek says “you gotta try this beer it’s amazing”; I went out and got a couple bottles, although it did take me three months to get around to drinking it.  I’ve had several Great Divide beers before and the have all been above par to exceptional, I’m expecting this Russian Imperial Stout to hold the grade.

Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

First off, great name, “Beer Geek Breakfast”, how could you not buy a beer called that?  Somehow this beer got pushed back into the dark depths of my Beer Cellar. As I was updating my Beer Cellar list a couple days ago, I saw that I had not reviewed it since buying it over 4 months ago.  So, without further delay…
